The Push N Seal Condenser Plug is an economical elastomer thimble style plug that is pressed into a heat exchanger tube with a blunt nose insertion tool. The applied force distends the plug by reducing the plug diameter, enabling it to slip into the tube against the flanged area. After the insertion tool is removed, the plug flange contracts against the tubesheet due to the elastic forces of the rubber contracting the plug. This forces the side wall against the tube ID providing a positive seal in and by itself.
